Flint in winter --- last semester of living here

                         Flint in winter
--- Cherishing the last semester of living here
Because of the big snowfall of Syracuse, Chinese people gave a very beautiful name to Syracuse, the snowy city. I can still remember the first snow of 2016 is on the second day of thanksgiving break. The red walls of flint hall become brighter as the sun reflect the white snow to the walls. Then it’s our winter break and two or three days before the winter break, there were full of noises and garbage filled the corridors, and I know everyone was so excited to go back home.
Right after the winter break, I came back to flint. Flint is my home in America and it welcomes me to be back. When I came back here, I saw flint hall and those plants were covered by snows. There were no more leaves on the tree or on the floor, and squirrels may hide into the cave for hibernating, it was so quiet and harmonious. I love snow because there is no snowfall in my home city, so I stepped into the deep snow and played with the snow excitedly. After 20 minutes, my hands were frozen. As I wrote in the last post, flint hall has become my warm harbor and whenever I feel cold or lonely, it is always there. So I went to the flint hall and the heaters warmed my body.
Surprisingly, the plant that mentioned in the last two posts is still a beautiful spot of flint hall because the fruits on that tree look still red and good. Plus, the white snow stick on the plant makes the plant more characteristic. Personally, I have not seen that much snow in the past several years, so I think I have a special affection to snow. By the way, the snow becomes a beautiful and free gift that decorates my “home”. Living in this “pure and cute palace”, sitting in my bed, and looking at the snowfall make my weekends or breaks wonderfully. I am so satisfied with the life in flint right now. However, the bad news is that all the current freshmen have to move to south campus or other residential halls. I feel upset because flint hall is one the few low-rise building on the main campus if I move to other residential halls, which means I need to climb the stairs when the fire alarm rings. In addition, as an employee of Gram dining hall right now, it’s really convenient for me to get there and work. But once I moved away, I have to climb those annoying stairs, which is really difficult for me, an extremely lazy person.
Therefore, although I only have three months of living in Flint, I have witnessed the four seasons of the Flint and I have received the warmth that flint hall “gave” me. Wherever I will live for the next year, I will still remember what Flint hall has brought to me and the beauty of Flint hall in four seasons.
